In a near-drowning, a shallow water blackout, decompression illness, smoke inhalation, a bad asthma attack or a cardiac event, oxygen can change the outcome. But only if the person giving it knows the kit.
What we cover
- When oxygen helps: dive injuries, near-drowning, cardiac events
- Delivery systems: demand valves, non-rebreathers, BVMs
- Looking after the kit: maintenance, storage and safety
- Real practice under scenario conditions
What's included
- Hands-on time with a full oxygen kit: regulator, demand valve, non-rebreather mask and pocket mask
- SSI digital learning and your SSI certification
Who it's for
SSI Freediving Instructor candidates (it's a prerequisite), dive boat operators and skippers, surf, kayak and kite schools, and remote-site workers adding oxygen to their first aid.
Taught by Sacha Williamson, SSI Instructor Trainer, with 26+ years on the ocean.
